"Firefox crash when opening Firebug, this problem occurs in 64 bit builds from linux distros like Ubuntu.  You can report the problem to your linux system provider I guess."[1]

We will need your emerge --info and specific version of firefox/xulrunner, I use firebug on 64bit all the time without a problem.

I'm not very good at reading instructions before posting, sorry. Emerge info is attached. Installed software versions:

  www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.5.6
  net-libs/xulrunner-1.9.1.6

The problem occurs with Firebug 1.5 only. Previous versions (e.g. 1.4.5) are not affected.
