Your statement is reversed, really. ;^) It should read that the version of "alsa-lib" should match the version of "alsa-driver" under some circumstances. Anyhow, alsa-lib-0.9.7 is now in the portage tree. It wasn't before because I was seeing weird compilation errors with it. I think that the ALSA folks fixed the problem a day after the initial release and re-released the new tarball without bumping the version of the alsa-lib package. Now it compiles fine, but it was missing files previously. Go figure... |
