Description Ronald van der Meer 2010-01-09 14:23:56 UTC
The soprano ebuild seems to be missing a dependency for dev-lib/rasqal
Soprano seems to be a new dependency in some kde libraries that are required for kdenlive. Otherwise i´m pretty much a gtk/gnome user. I suspect (just guessing here) that the rasqal package is already a dependency in some other kde-desktop package. So kde desktop users will not get this error.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure rasqal in not merged, emerge -C rasqal
2. emerge -1 =dev-libs/soprano-2.3.1-r1
3.

Actual Results:
emerge failed with this error:

Make Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
RASQAL_INCLUDE_DIR (ADVANCED)
used as include directory in directory /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/soprano-2.3.1-r1/work/soprano-2.3.1/backends/redland

Expected Results:
emerge soprano without errors

after manually emerging rasqal, soprano emerged just fine.

Reproducible with USE="java -redland". Please build with USE+=redland for now, Ronald.

Hmm. Works fine for soprano-2.4.1 and 2.3.1-r1 here with these useflags. ???

No dupes for a long time, and cant reproduce here... likely fixed. Please reopen if this reoccurs.
