GUI front-end ebuild
(In reply to comment #2) > Created an attachment (id=214899) [details] > GUI front-end ebuild > Thanks for providing this ebuild. All we need now is a package maintainer! I've updated the .ebuild files with the new mirrors available based on Tatsh first release. I've tested them on arch ~amd64 and ~x86 and updated to an user overlay. What should be the next step in order to share them with the rest of users? (In reply to comment #4) > I've updated the .ebuild files with the new mirrors available based on Tatsh > first release. Is the source for abgx360 still being distributed? To be honest, I'm not really interested in this stuff any-more. I have not used this tool in ages. I don't pirate games. All I ever used this tool for was to check my own personal dumps (made with an old model Liteon that could read Xbox 360 games if put in the correct mode through special IOCTL commands). Don't believe me, don't care. It's nice to provide but I don't really think that many Gentoo users are using this software whether it be through source or through the binary they provide. My estimation is that 90% of the users of this application are using it to get some kind of certainty that their burned version of some game will not get them banned from Xbox LIVE. And 90% of the time that burned version is pirated. So I cannot say I am terribly interested in seeing Gentoo distribute this in any way officially. Gentoo project shouldn't be getting its hands dirty even if only slightly. The software is also not open source even though the source is given. The author made that clear a while ago. Also you might be right and nowadays is used by more people as an evil tool for piracy and not getting banned for XBOX Live... |
