Using the "Get new themes" button in the splash screens dialog doesn't show the themes in the pick list, but they show as installed on the listing. I'm not convinced the themes download at all?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open splash screens dialog in system settings
2. pick any theme to install
3. look on list!

Judging from the upstream bug report, the main issue should be fixed in 4.6
