Sounds like a upstream issue, Open a ticket at http://www.midnight-commander.org/ and link us there. If was already fixed by upstream: http://www.midnight-commander.org/search?q=paste+newline&noquickjump=1&ticket=on Could you add patch to ebuild ASAP? Thanks! Are you positive it doesn't work with 4.7.0 final? It works here (in rxvt-unicode). Make sure you "etc-update" after you upgrade to 4.7.0 to get the config files updated, or the fix won't be applied. Feel free to reopen if it doesn't work :) etc-update is done, it updated 5 mc files, and i accepted the new files without any changes. I tested the pasting more, and the result is interesting. Shift+Insert works, Ctrl+V does nothing (probably correct), and Shift+Ctrl+V eats newlines! Maybe the problem is in /etc/mc.keymap, though not sure. The mc.keymap says that [editor]EditXPaste=shift-insert, which works. However i do not see where or how Shift+Ctrl+V is set. It is the shortcut for paste in menu of terminal. Try latest: 4.7.0.2. If it still doesn't work, you need to open a ticket a http://www.midnight-commander.org/ exactly as said in Comment #1. If there's no activity in this bug next couple of days, or a week, it will be closed. still broken :( Please open a bug @ http://www.midnight-commander.org/report as suggested by Samuli. You can then add the ticket link to the URL field here so we can keep track of it. Thanks :) |
