Extra note: probably a kernel bug, because when I start the services interactively, I get the issue 'sooner' in the service startup process. It's probably something that happens (or times out, or...) after a more or less constant amount of time after booting my system. I created an initramfs with static sash and busybox: no problem, so it must me some kind of openrc/baselayout action going wrong or triggering a kernel bug. Suggestions welcome. It would help if you posted the init output so we can see where that read failed. It might help to see your kernel config as well. Created attachment 214477 [details]
Kernel config
(In reply to comment #3) > It would help if you posted the init output so we can see where that read > failed. It might help to see your kernel config as well. Not sure how to do that correctly, really. Any tips? digital camera and some patience? ;) Just wanted to let you that I am currently running 2.6.33_rc8 (with a possibly different configuration than the one I had when logging this issue), with openrc-0.6.0-r1 and baselayout-2.0.1, and without a startup issue. Too bad I'll never know the reason, but I'm closing this bug. |
