Sounds like a games-ggz problem actually. How is "File cannot be written to..." a problem with games-ggz? dunno, but the ebuild just doesn't touch that kind of file directly. It occurs to me the ebuild inherits ggz something and calls it in various phases and as gnome team doesn't know anything about it, I thought games would. reopen with more evidence that this failure is related to games-ggz and not just user error. So far it looks like a local setup issue to me. wtf? No one said games was to resolve this bug anyhow. It's something I encounter and I don't know whose responsibility this is, but it stays open, right? Add back games if it turns out to be an issue with games-ggz I've checked the automake rules and I see nothing wrong with it. We have no clue how ggz works so it's difficult to see what to do now if games herd doesn't want to help. erm, forgot to ask, could you confirm that if you go in the folder of another game using ggz (like gnibbles) and try make install DESTDIR="blabla" if gails as well ? Does this also fail with gnome-games-2.28* ? (In reply to comment #11) > Does this also fail with gnome-games-2.28* ? > Any news here?
