*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 252070 *** Sorry, I opened this more for the : * QA Notice: The following shared libraries lack NEEDED entries * /var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/lib-compat-1.4.2/image/usr/lib/libc.so.5 than striping one That's a false positive. Obviously the C library will not require any other library. most modern C libraries have a dependency on the ldso which is why you dont see warnings on newer versions Thanks for the explanation But, is there anyway for hiding that QA warning (similar to QA_PRESTRIPPED for example)? It's for using it in app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-compat as it still supplies sys-libs/lib-compat Thanks a lot again :-) there is no way to hide the warning, but rather than worry about that, see Bug 246332#1 OK, I am not on that bug Best regards |
