stack trace
Please provide the following information: 1. emerge --info pidgin 2. Is this bug reproducible with 2.6.4? 3. output of the following command: qfile -Cqv /usr/lib/pidgin/ Also try the following: 1. Try to uninstall plugins mentioned in the above output (not disable but emerge -C) If you manage to find broken plugin, please, report. 2. Rebuild net-im/pidgin media-libs/gstreamer dev-libs/glib and in case ?? remain in the output sys-libs/glibc and may be others with debugging symbols, as written here: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml (basically add splitdebug to features, currently -ggdb does nothing since portage strips all debugging information -ggdb provided, and thus backtrace in attachment is incomplete). After mucking about with it for a while, I found the eventual answer: rebuild media-libs/gstreamer The crash persisted even through 2.6.4-r1 until I did that. |
