Hi,

I'm back from my hols (; and I've just committed Klav's ebuild to CVS. Please
give it a test, and let me know whether it works for you or not.

Thanks,
Stu

I'm getting the following error:

>>> md5 src_uri ;-) turck-mmcache-2.4.1.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking turck-mmcache-2.4.1.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/turck-mmcache-2.4.1/work

I am running PHP 4.3.4 RC1. If this could be the cause, please tell me and
I'll try it with PHP 4.3.3!

Hi Steffen,

It works for me with PHP 4.3.3. We don't have an official ebuild for PHP
4.3.4 yet, so I'm not able to take a look at what the cause of your problem
is.

Best regards,
Stu

I can confirm now that it works with PHP 4.3.3! :-)

By the way, I maybe found a small bug, but don't know if it should be considered
a bug. I had php-4.3.4_rc1 and mod_php-4.3.4_rc1 installed when trying to
install turck-mmcache-2.4.1 for the first time and it failed as I said. Then
I replaced php-4.3.4_rc1 with php-4.3.3. So I had mod_php-4.3.4_rc1 and php-4.3.3
installed.

Now merging turck-mmcache worked, but apache2 refused to work (although the
startup script reported "ok"), because turck-mmcache obviously used the php-4.3.3
phpize binary, although mod_php-4.3.4_rc1 was installed for apache. Apache's
error_log revealed this:

PHP Warning: [Turck MMCache] This build of "Turck MMCache" was compiled
for PHP version 4.3.3. Rebuild it for your PHP version (4.3.4RC1) or download
precompiled binaries.
 in Unknown on line 0
PHP Fatal error: Unable to start Turck MMCache module in Unknown on line
0

So, maybe the turck-mmcache ebuild should check whether the installed php
and mod_php versions are the same?

Closing old bug.
