proposed ebuild.
Here you go.
Created attachment 18381 [details]
the equinox licence.
Unfortunately it's distributed as binaries under a shareware licence. This
is
that licence. (Nothing objectionable, except that you're not allowed to modify
it at all).

sample config file.
This is a sample config file to get the plugins to load from the right place.
The ebuild assumes it lives in files/.
Can we add it in portage ? it's a great software and it's getting more and more popular. Maybe media-gfx/equinox/ ? Thanks Created attachment 46545 [details]
media-gfx/equinox-0.8.58
Ebuild for the latest version... didn't test it, since after starting it I saw
how much I disklike it :D (I will stay with wings3d)
By: "didn't test it" I mean that I didn't test the program, but I tested the ebuild and it works. i have installed equinox 0.8.58 and the ebuild work for me when i start the program i return this Dialog Error: "Couldn't read any image-file I/O modules, you won't be able to use 2D textures and icons! Reason: Could not read file : /home/workstation/E3DP/ImageIO/Formats.list" the file ImageIO/Formatas.list is not in the user home but in this dir: /usr/lib/equinox/ImageIO/Formats.list something in the 0.8.58 ebuild is wrong Re-assign a stale bug. Still actively developped upstream, unfortunately the ebuild here is very outdated. If you can provide uptodate one and either find a maintainer, or if you want to maintain it yourself and join project sunrise, details here: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/sunrise Thanks. WONTFIX meanwhile. |
