also, after more debugging, when i run the command 'modprobe ds' i get the output: ds: no socket drivers loaded! /lib/modules/2.4.21-gss/pcmcia/ds.o: init_module: Operation not permitted i found a temporary work-around. to resolve the 'no socket drivers loaded' message, i had to run # modprobe i82365 then i was successfully able to run # modprobe ds # modprobe orinoco_cs ************************************************************ I think that someone should make i82365 module a required for modprobe to load before the ds module tries to load. could someone tell me if my suggestion listed above is a good suggestion? and if so, when it might be implemented? |
