Build log
The build only ran in parallel because of the Portage bashrc override. Normal users are forced to build in serial because the ebuild uses "make" rather than "emake." This should be probably be changed to be "emake -j1" so that other $MAKEOPTS are honored, and as a clearer indicator that the package is known to fail in parallel builds. I did change that to emake -j1 ;) But I do open bugs here because it's just a workaround and needs to be fixed properly at some point. Ah, sorry. I looked at an old tree from before you changed it. Agreed, it needs to be fixed. I posted mainly to point out that, in the interim, normal users will only suffer increased build times, rather than outright failure. |
