Please remove the leading white space from your CFLAGS. This: "-DYYSTACKSIZE=5000" "" "-O2" "-pipe" See the quoted empty string? bug #293652. (In reply to comment #1) > Please remove the leading white space from your CFLAGS. > Don't work if not correct CFLAGS added (for me one of -mssse3 -mfpmath=sse,387 -mpc80 -pipe). Resolved by adding /etc/portage/package/env/dev-util/boost-build. Maybe we should add sed "s/ / /", "s/( )*$//" for CFLAGS to delete extra spaces? (In reply to comment #3) > (In reply to comment #1) > > Please remove the leading white space from your CFLAGS. > > > > Don't work if not correct CFLAGS added (for me one of -mssse3 -mfpmath=sse,387 > -mpc80 -pipe). > Resolved by adding /etc/portage/package/env/dev-util/boost-build. > > Maybe we should add sed "s/ / /", "s/( )*$//" for CFLAGS to delete extra > spaces? > This is already fixed upstream. Expect it to be found some time in the future in the ebuilds. Just thought I'd add one more way to fall prey to this bug. If you have an invalid CFLAG (I typed -march-k8 instead of -march=k8) then the ebuild strips that invalid flag and apparently leaves in the space that used to seperate it from the rest of the list. eg I had CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -march-k8" which seemed to create "-O2 -pipe " and cause the failure documented here.
