Build log
I see two problems in the build log. First, the build uses make recursion incorrectly, triggering serial make while in subdirectories. Second, the build tries to create its documentation during the install phase, using a stylesheet that it assumes will be installed at </usr/share/xml/docbook/stylesheet/ldp/html/tldp-one-page.xsl>. Debian Squeeze has this file as part of ldp-docbook-xsl.deb. It is not immediately clear to me whether Gentoo has a package which carries this file, and if so, what that package is named.
