Description Michał Sawicz 2009-11-27 21:21:00 UTC
The mythvideo cronjob (jamu) should not be installed by default, as it only takes a limited amount of cases (all data needed to determine whether it's a movie or a tv series and what movie / tv series it is, is available in the filename and the user wants to use TheTVDB and TheMovieDB).
The script lightly rewrites video titles, episode and season numbers, without taking already filled data into consideration.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. have all your movies' and series' metadata filled to your liking
2. leave the machine running overnight
Actual Results:
The metadata is overwritten regardless of your previous actions. If the script wasn't able to find a video on TheMovieDB or TheTVDB, it overwrites the title with the filename and resets episode / season number.

Expected Results:
Nothing! Jamu should be opt-in, not opt-out.

That's what the jamu USE flag is for. The jamu USE flag copies in the default configs and sets up the defaults in the same way that Mythbuntu setup JAMU and enables the same cronjobs.

If you don't want that, turn off the USE flag.

There should be a big ewarn about what the script might do to your collection.
