This is fresh installation. After the emere -ev system.

1.emerge -av glib
2.eselect set gcc
3.make a new kernel...

Please disable ccache and retest.

Can we please get a report as to weather disabling ccache has resolved your problem please. I have tested on both x86 and x86_64 and been unable to reproduce this with your exact setup.
