I am attempting a new install and file sys-devl/patch-2.5.9.tar.gz cannot be
obtained from http://alpha.gnu.org.  I keep getting a timed out error.  I have
received this error since 22 Sept 2003.

I am attempting to build the system from bootstrap..

This file is available on the Gentoo mirrors so you shouldn't be trying to
fetch the file from alpha.gnu.org at all.

verified that the file can be downloaded from our main mirror:

http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/distfiles/patch-2.5.9.tar.gz

marking as invalid.
