I'm testing the ebuild/new release locally for a few days before I commit. Thanks for the notice! OK, thank you for work :) Created attachment 210900 [details]
exim-4.70 ebuild
If you want to try/help find major regressions, here is the ebuild that I'll commit in a few days.
Meanwhile exim 4.71 has been released. yay :) I'm just wondering if the USE flag "exiscan" could just be removed from the ebuild. As far as I see it just fetches a useless configuration file which has been obsolete since Exim 4.50 when Exiscan-ACL was integrated into vanilla Exim. I'd rather see a USE flag "dcc" for the activation of the DCC support (EXPERIMENTAL_DCC=yes in Local/Makefile) or "dkim" for the (de-) activation of DKIM supprt (DISABLE_DKIM=yes in Local/Makefile) in the new Exim ebuild. I've been wondering that myself, and considering doing that. Any help here (for testing mainly) would be greatly appreciated. Created attachment 211180 [details]

Here's my take on an ebuild for Exim 4.71. I removed the obsolete USE flags "domainkeys" and "exiscan" and added "dkim" and "dcc" for DKIM respectively DCC support.
This ebuild works fine of two of my servers (both x86).
Thanks Jochen. I will use your suggestions and ebuild. Ebuild added in the tree, hopefully no breakage, so we can stable this version soon. Thanks all! |
