Both virtual/jdk-1.4.2 still has the dev-java/blackdown-jdk which was just removed for security reasons.  This is causing emerge to complain biterly about it.  This dependency should probably be removed.  Error message to follow...

a) There are more alternatives than blackdown, it should choose a different one (ibm-jdk-bin, kaffe).

b) you should not need jdk-1.4.2 anymore
try: emerge -av --depclean jdk:1.4
