Description Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2009-11-18 20:50:17 UTC
Ramon van Alteren is initially going to help to help the Prefix project with OSX related porting, keywording and testing. Since he's never far from a bunch of Gentoo Linux machines, he will most likely find packages to his liking in gentoo-x86 next to Prefix/OSX arch-teaming as well.

Ramon's email address is: ramon@vanalteren.nl
His preferred nickname is: ramonster

I will be Ramon's mentor. The team lead of the Gentoo Prefix project wholeheartedly supports his recruitment, and is CC-ed to this bug. Both he and I are looking forward to ramonster joining the team.

Ramon will send his first quiz to recruiters@gentoo.org with me CC-ed.

Talking about yourself in third person or am I missing something?

I will be your recruiter. Please send your quizzes to recruiters@gentoo.org when approved by your mentor. Always add a comment to this bug when you send something to that address. When the quizzes are sent please contact me by IRC or email to schedule the first review session (together with Betelgeuse superwising).
If you think that recruiters aren't paying attention to this bug at any later point in time, it's your job to ping us on IRC if you don't want any delays.

The deadline passed 3 days ago, but i have not seen any quiz, contact or response until now.

Can you please tell us, when we can expect your ebuild-quiz or if you are busy or not any more interested in becoming a Gentoo developer?

I will extend the deadline by 2 weeks from today, if there is no response, i will close this bug.

Hi Tommy,

Sorry for the delay, YES I'm still interested in becoming a developer for gentoo.
The end-quizz is on it's way to you with my mentor CC-ed.

I'll contact you on IRC as soon as I see you....

We started some review sessions, but afterwards, i did not get any request for further sessions and no response to my mail i sent a few days ago.

Because of this, i will close this bug as cantfix for now, feel free to reopen this bug again, when you have enough time and interest to become a Gentoo developer for a longer period of time.
Comment 6 Ramon 2010-08-02 20:25:16 UTC
As I already mailed to both Tommy (Recruiter) and Grobian (Mentor) sudden real life problems have taken up all available time for gentoo recruiment process. I will reopen this bug as soon as the real life problems have been resolved.
