Bug 293627

Summary: sys-devel/gcc-4.3.4: gcc man page is empty
Product: Gentoo Linux Reporter: Kai Krakow <hurikhan77+bgo>
Component: [OLD] Core systemAssignee: Gentoo Linux bug wranglers <bug-wranglers>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal

Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Whiteboard:
Package list:
Runtime testing required: ---

Description Kai Krakow 2009-11-18 14:12:24 UTC
If calling "man gcc", man renders an empty man page like so:

GCC(1) GNU GCC(1)

gcc-4.3.4 2009-11-09 GCC(1)

Here's what emerge -pv gcc says:
[ebuild R ] sys-devel/gcc-4.3.4 USE="mudflap (multilib) nls nptl openmp (-altivec) -bootstrap -build -doc (-fixed-point) -fortran -gcj -gtk (-hardened) -ip28 -ip32r10k (-libffi) -multislot (-n32) (-n64) -nocxx -nopie -objc -objc++ -objc-gc -test -vanilla" 0 kB

Reproducible: Always

Please do a search in bugzilla before filing a new bug.
The problem is already known for some time. See bug 256608 for details.

Then I should probably report a bug that your bugzilla search isn't powerful enough. In fact I did a search (using the reporting wizard). :-(

Closing, as my report was duplicate.
