*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 282341 *** This still happens when hal is compiled with CFLAGS="-march=native -O1 -pipe". as the other bug states, this is not a problem with hal, but most likely with glib. You're right, that was the problem — emerging glib with -fno-ipa-cp-clone and restarting hald solved this. Thanks :) I should learn to read. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 282341 *** CCing toolchain anyway so they can have a read (keywords: gcc-4.4 -O3 crash -fno-ipa-cp-clone solved).
