Unfortunately they do pass here with USE="-python" FEATURES="test stricter" emerge -1Bv libxml2 Could you try with USE="python" ? (In reply to comment #3) > Unfortunately they do pass here with USE="-python" FEATURES="test stricter" > emerge -1Bv libxml2 > Could you try with USE="python" ? > Its likely an incidental yet to be recognised dependency playing up. I just re-ran emerge -v1 =dev-libs/libxml2-2.7.4-r1 with no changes to USE and it now passes. I can no longer replicate the problem, upgrade it, downgrade it, passes tests. The only way for me to repeat it now would be a fresh install from autobuild ( 20091105 ) , unmask ~amd64, USE=-python, emerge libxml2 and I don't have the time or resources to do that right now. Relax-NG? *libxml2-2.7.6 (23 Dec 2009) 23 Dec 2009; Diego E. Pettenò <flameeyes@gentoo.org> +libxml2-2.7.6.ebuild: Version bump, fixes Relax-NG validation problems. Please test 2.7.6. *** Bug 310097 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I still suffer this with 2.7.6: [ebuild U ] dev-libs/libxml2-2.7.6 [2.7.3-r2] USE="python readline test -debug -doc -examples -ipv6" 0 kB But seems to be fixed with 2.7.7 (while I was able to always reproduce when updating from 2.7.3-r2 to 2.7.6) (In reply to comment #8) > But seems to be fixed with 2.7.7 (while I was able to always reproduce when > updating from 2.7.3-r2 to 2.7.6) > Are you sure it's not a case where the failure came from the installed libxml2-2.7.3-r2? Can you still reproduce the failure with 2.7.6 or 2.7.7 installed? 2.7.6 tests still fail with 2.7.7 installed :-/ (In reply to comment #10) > 2.7.6 tests still fail with 2.7.7 installed :-/ > From this thread, http://www.mail-archive.com/xml@gnome.org/msg07311.html I ended up to this patch, http://git.gnome.org/browse/libxml2/patch/?id=c966790781a9ab5d80aed1246df6316149ef5f07 It says "Windows" but the failures look identical... (In reply to comment #11) > I ended up to this patch, > > http://git.gnome.org/browse/libxml2/patch/?id=c966790781a9ab5d80aed1246df6316149ef5f07 > > It says "Windows" but the failures look identical... > And it also fixes this bug, thanks a lot! :-D I had the same problem. Patch in #11 fixed it. Fixed by (now stable) libxml2-2.7.7 wrt bug 317819. |
