This looks like your kernel symlink ( /usr/src/linux ) is wrong or something else is missing. "dmesg" should give a bit more information why this doesn't work. From dmesg I get: vboxdrv: no symbol version for module_layout This looks like your running kernel and /usr/src/linux are not the same, so the module can't work. Please make sure that this is all correct. I know that and as far as I know the kernel I emerged the modules with is the same as the kernel I am trying to load the modules. Check attachment 210580 [details]. What else do you need?
Try with a fresh kernel 2.6.31-r6 and symlink. Recompile and install the kernel, boot into it and Emerge virtualbox and the modules, any luck? It works after compiling r6. Wonder why... |
