Description michael higgins 2009-11-10 18:34:45 UTC
media-sound/seq24-0.9.0 crashes when trying to access 'tools' in piano roll view.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open seq24
2. edit pattern
3. click tools

Actual Results:
crashes with buffer overflow

Expected Results:
present tools sub-menu

Fixed in trunk... I asked for a new tarball... ;-) Meanwhile, can we do a live ebuild from launchpad bzr, or do we wait?

Yeah, I know 'we' is a funny concept with Gentoo, but anyway... I've done my bit. If they push out a new tarball, it should be fine.

If anyone else like me needs it, here is what I learned from seeing 'bzr' for the first time:
emerge -av dev-util/bzrtools
bzr branch lp:seq24

... and how I built it:
cd seq24
autoreconf
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
[su]
make install

.. no more crashes, some new features and other fixes, I think. (If I see any new problems, I'll report here I guess.)

should be fixed in 0.9.2
