What's the output of 'emerge -1pv alsa-headers alsa-lib' ? # emerge -1pv alsa-headers alsa-lib These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild R ] media-sound/alsa-headers-1.0.20 0 kB [ebuild R ] media-libs/alsa-lib-1.0.20-r1 USE="python -alisp -debug -doc" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mmap_emul mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" 0 kB Frankly, it's probably a case for tree-cleaners: - nobody cares about it (last release was on February 26, 2008, yet nobody has noticed) - ...including upstream (last release was on February 26, 2008, period) This particular problem is probably caused by those constants being removed from alsa-lib. This is probably a duplicate of bug #292266 -- maybe there are others as well. Still, the friendly neighbourhood debianites seem to be persistent and fixing kaffe by just commenting out some useless(?) asserts: http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org/msg500669.html @Rafał: But 1.1.7 is not the latest release, 1.1.9 is. Also a duplicate of bug #231198? (In reply to comment #6) > @Rafał: But 1.1.7 is not the latest release, 1.1.9 is. > Exactly - nobody noticed and/or cared. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 231198 *** |
