Bug 291562 – net-libs/webkit-gtk: ftp:// protocol seems to not work

I am not sure if this is an upstream problem or something is missing in my system, but I am unable to visit any ftp:// site with webkit browsers like midori or epiphany-2.28. I get:
Unable to load page

Problem occurred while loading the URL ftp://ftp.free.fr/pub/Distributions_Linux/Fedora/development/source/SRPMS

La ubicación especificada no está montada

(last line means "Specified location is not mounted")

This last line seems to come from a external app since it's not shown in english even launching epiphany with "LC_ALL=C epiphany"

Sorry but, can you please tell me where is exactly the problem? I have searched a lot in google about this issue and failed to find "the culprit", I also asked in forums:

without success :-(

Is it a problem with webkit not supporting ftp:// protocol or I don't have some external tool that could be used by webkit to display ftp sites?
