gnome-screensaver.log
I run this command from the command line:
# gnome-screensaver --no-daemon --debug 2> gnome-screensaver.log
This logs show two situations, one where the screensaver actually activated at about 18:01 and one where the screensaver never activated when I left the PC alone from just after 12h until about 14:30h.
