Just wanted to let you guys know that I have installed the (masked) version of
docutils on x86 and it works just fine here. No backwards-compatibility problems
occured.

Just trying to help to get this thing into "stable" state. :-)

emm, which one do you mean? both _pre* are in stable.

have you tried docutils-0.3-r1 that is in portage?

No, I didn't try 0.3-p1 yet. I'm having trouble telling, which version the latest, actually. 0.3-p1 _seems_ to be newer than 0.3_pre20030530-r3, but apparently Portage thinks otherwise:

 | root@peti:~$ emerge -pvu docutils
 | 
 | These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
 | 
 | Calculating dependencies ...done!
 | [ebuild     UD] dev-python/docutils-0.3_pre20030530-r3 [0.3-r1] 

But:

Should I try 0.3-r1?

That means you are already using 0.3-r1. The version number in square brackets is the version you have installed.

so you are not using _pre2003... but the released version. well, i guess the reason it isn't stable yet is because no one has really tested it. it is only used for GLEPs right now, and they haven't complained so i guess its good to go for now. 

marked as stable for x86 now. thanks.
