can you attach the output you refer to ? I think this is another occasion where the bonobo-activation block is removed too early. I have already installed gnome-2.4 so I don't know how to backtrack without unmerging. However, I can tell you that it failed with the 2.2 bonobo-activation still installed, it just did not die as quickly as when I had unmerged the 2.2 bonobo-activation. The issue is that gnome-2.4 only installed properly when control-center-2.4 was emerged after libbonobo-2.4, libbonoboui-2.4 and Orbit2 where emerged. See Bugzilla Bug 28583 "control-center-2.4.0 failure to compile" for my error message when trying to compile control-center-2.4.0 with 2.2 bonobo-activation still installed. I should have the last message on this bug. |
