Description Nikos Chantziaras 2009-10-21 09:47:14 UTC
When I right-click on the desktop, select "Desktop Settings", and in the dialog that appears try to change the "Positioning" to various settings (like "Scaled & Cropped", "Tiled", etc), even though the small preview picture changes accordingly, absolutely nothing happens to the desktop wallpaper after hitting "Apply". The positioning preference seems to be totally ignored.

This problem was there for as long as I can remember using KDE 4 (must have been since KDE 4.0.something).

I don't know if it's an upstream problem; in Kubuntu and openSUSE where I tried it, it has always worked correctly.

Also, my USE flags for plasma-workspace are:

handbook -aqua -debug -google-gadgets -kdeprefix -python -rss -xinerama
Comment 2 Nikos Chantziaras 2009-10-29 18:12:34 UTC
I'm closing as UPSTREAM. I was able to reproduce with latest Kubuntu 9.10RC and openSUSE 11.2 RC.
