I just noticed that I have both ksmserver-4.3.2 and ksmserver-3.5.10. The latter should be the problem for XSESSION="kde-3.5". KDE 4.3 seems to work fine. But I definitely don't want to use it. The problem disappeared with the upgrade from kdelibs-3.5.9-r4 to kdelibs-3.5.10-r6. You have been linking against the wrong media-libs/jpeg version. If you re-emerge it, then you should see the following post-install message: * Old versions of installed libraries were detected on your system. * In order to avoid breaking packages that depend on these old libs, * the libraries are not being removed. You need to run revdep-rebuild * in order to remove these old dependencies. If you do not have this * helper program, simply emerge the 'gentoolkit' package. * * # revdep-rebuild --library libjpeg.so.62 * * Once you've finished running revdep-rebuild, it should be safe to * delete the old libraries. Here is a copy & paste for the lazy: * # rm '/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62' |
