I've got gvfs installed not because of gnome but thanks to brasero that is currently the only media recorder based on gtk working imho. If I can limit the dependency packets based on gnome I would be happier.
I'm here to ask if the gnome use change in libsoup is mandatory for some basic functionality of gvfs or if it can be fine tuned: when trying to force the compilation of gvfs nothing bad happens even with libsoup with no "gnome" flag enabled.

libsoup-gnome-2.4.so is required by gvfs, and it's controlled by USE gnome. no bug here.

I don't have any gnome flag enabled in gvfs
