Description J M W 2009-10-15 17:39:11 UTC
While working on fampp2-6.0.ebuild in my own overlay due to the breakage in fampp2 in this bug: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216271, and trying to create an ebuild for famp2-6.0 that compiles against sigc++ 1.2, I? got this error while the build was in the configure stage:

 checking for LOKI... yes
checking for SIGC... no

latest version of sigc++-1.2 required. (2.0.0 or better)

this should be on the freshrpms.net website
configure: error: Fatal Error: no correct sigc++-1.2 found.

!!! Please attach the following file when seeking support:
!!! /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/fampp2-6.0.0/work/fampp2-6.0.0/config.log

So it looks like the author of fampp2 believes that sigc++-2.0* is in the l.2 branch. If this is true then we should definitely still have this in the tree, since we have 1.2.7. If this is not true then we might still want it, if fampp-6.0 needs it to compile and it doesn't conflict with sigc++-2.2*.

Reproducible: Always

Please attach config.log and build.log

Yes, everything 2.0 was fixed to support 2.2 and 2.0 was removed in purpose because they are not slottable.
