This bug is a direct duplicate of bug #214596, but is wrongly closed as invalid and cannot be reopened. Emerging net-print/cupsddk-1.2.3 failed the first time, but succedeed on second try. From the build log :

> make -j5 BUILDROOT=/var/tmp/portage/net-print/cupsddk-1.2.3/image/
>
> [...]
>
> mkdir: cannot create directory `images': File exists

> make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....



Reproducible: Sometimes

Got exactly the same error here, while installing cupsddk-1.2.3 as part of hplip upgrade to hplip-3.9.12-r1

Same issue here.

Re-emerge a second time succeded.

net-print/cupsddk has been removed from the tree. See bug #394089 for reference.
