xbmc-9999 is not configuring with <libass-0.9.7

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Downgrade to <libass-0.9.7
2. try to emerge xbmc-9999


Actual Results:  
configure error

Expected Results:  
configure should finish correctly
