what's your rc_start_wait ?? see this one i caught https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288495 It's not CFLAGS or LDFLAGS. I'm going to test to see if it's bug #288495 as my wait is 200 (should-be ms, actually seconds if it's that bug) and dupe it that way if so, since it's a better description in that case. The only other thing I can think of at this point is that my root is kernel/mdp RAID-6, assembled by the kernel itself from command line parameters passed from grub (no initramfs). I also run lvm2, but not on root, so it shouldn't be a factor at all this early in the boot sequence. But I'm guessing it's the ms/second mixup of bug 288495. Off to check that now. Sure enough. It's the rc_start_wait timeout of bug 288495. Marking dup. Increasing the effective value by 1000-fold without notice wasn't funny, but of course bugs like that are part of the "excitement" of ~arch! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 288495 *** |
