/etc/portage/package.mask
I do not know which version of portage where this error begins. All I do know is that it is the same with portage-2.2_rc43 and portage-2.2_rc44. The most curious thing is that none of the other listed packages are attempting to emerge. Only the first listed apps are having this issue...the ones with really long names. Please try: ">=" instead of just ">" If it were that easy, I'd have not wasted the time writing a bug report. So what is in your package.unmask? (In reply to comment #5) > So what is in your package.unmask? > Good question...and you found the issue. >=sys-apps/portage-2.2_pre >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-20081109 >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-20081109 >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-qtlibs-20081109 >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-soundlibs-20081109 >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-compat-20081109 >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-medialibs-20081109 >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-sdl-20081109 >=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-xlibs-20081109 I did not make those changes. Until just now, I thought the only thing I had in that file was >=sys-apps/portage-2.2_pre. How did that happen? I'm confused, but the machine is fixed. Thanks for that. I'll keep that in mind for the next issue I have. You can call this one fixed. |
