New version released September 23, 2009.

Amongst other issues, version 1.5.5 resolves an issue that can cause ffmpegthumbnailer to choke and spike to 100% CPU on some files.

I have been using a locally compiled copy of 1.5.5 on my machine for a while and it seems to work perfectly well.
