WiFiScanner 1.0.2a has been released on February 08, 2007. It's the last release for which tarball is available on project's page.
1.0.2b, 1.0.3 and 1.0.3a has been tagged in SVN but never released. Changelog is available at http://wifiscanner.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/wifiscanner/tags/1.0.3a/ChangeLog.

Last SVN commit has been made on June 30, 2008, and there's no activity in mailing lists since 2007. Project is apparently dead now, but I think it's reasonable to have latest available version in portage tree before wiping it out.
