Description Fabio Coatti 2009-10-06 15:25:26 UTC
On my system startup sequence fails on filesystem check.
Basically I've a LUKS root partition that is started by a initrd kernel.
unless I place a /fastboot file on / dir, openrc stops by being unable to check the partitions (that are absolutely ok). I've digged around but without succes, even if I found some references to lvm partiotions not yet ok when openrc stats to check.
boot sequence stops with login prompt; entering with root no xfs problem can be detected.
I suspect a openrc bug, but I'm unable to figure out how to get more informations.

Reproducible: Always

Confirmed to happen on the same system with openrc 0.5.1
Comment 2 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2011-01-24 17:14:12 UTC
Fabio,

is this still an issue for you with the latest openrc (as of this writing, openrc-0.7.0)?

If so, we need the following information:

1) please post emerge --info.
2) We need to know the value of rc_parallel from /etc/rc.conf.

Please re-open when you can post this information.
Comment 3 Fabio Coatti 2011-01-25 15:38:28 UTC
No, with 0.7.0 this seems not to be an issue anymore, I think that this bug can be closed, thanks.
