Emerge info
mount-cifs is included in >samba-client-3.3 so just unemerge mount-cifs and upgarde net-fs/samba-client I'm dealing with the same issue right now. samba-client is a masked package. So you fixed the bug as invalid by recommending to emerge a masked package which is not a very good approach I believe. Also, cifs is a new name for samba, or at least that's what most people think, so it's not a good approach to replace cifs with samba, or is cifs is getting renamed back to samba? What are the latest naming trends out there? Ok, the good solution as of now would be installing the samba monolithic package with "-* client" in package.use |
