please attach ~/.xsession-errors It's working for me now. I think it was related to having packages linked to an old version of libxklavier because the shared libraries are not removed in the update, therefore you need to run revdep-rebuild -L 'soname' in order to detect broken packages. I would prefer that the libraries were automatically removed sot that revdep-rebuild would pick the broken packages. I discovered it by chance when I read the elog after rebuilding libxklavier because of the libxcb-1.4 update and followed the given instructions to remove the old libraries. closing invalid, you should make sure you system is in a consistent state before filling bugs.
