hplip is a pure qt4 app, while the others are kde apps, so you need to configure their style in kde's systemsettings. Is there any "manual" way to change it without needing to install kde-base/systemsettings ? I mean, could I simply edit a configuration file or similar? Thanks a lot :-) (In reply to comment #3) > Is there any "manual" way to change it without needing to install > kde-base/systemsettings ? Please use our suport forums @ forum.gentoo.org, our mailinglist @ gentoo.org or our support channel #getoo @ freenode. If you still can't fix it and find a bug please feel free to reopen the bug report what's up. You are true, sorry a lot , I forgot this bug report At least I found what needs to be changed for using gtk+ style by default without needing to ask every user to change it using systemsettings. You need to create /usr/share/config/kdeglobals with the following content: [General] widgetStyle=gtk+ I reopen this bug report as an enhancement request for asking you to add that information to qt-gui ebuild since, I think, most if users that merges it with "gtk" USE flag expect to get gtk style also with kde apps Thanks a lot Created attachment 206798 [details, diff]

It's a KDE configuration issue that has nothing to do with qt-gui itself. (In reply to comment #8) > It's a KDE configuration issue that has nothing to do with qt-gui itself. > But there are people that will install some kde apps (like k9copy or k3b) but won't install all KDE |
