Trying to build libquicktime-1.1.3 fails like this : 

bfreetype.so /usr/lib/libexpat.so /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgmodule-2.0.so /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so ../../src/.libs/libquicktime.so -lpthread -lm -lz -ldl
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lxcb-xlib
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

It should have built.
