Patches needed for upcoming 1.4 maint release.
Note: the basic idea is that USE="bindist" hacks are no longer needed, as a new version of Portage (2.0.49-r4) has a major tbz2 bug fixed. No USE flag tricks should be needed, as tbz2s (with -r4) now use the USE flags they were compiled with to figure out whether to enable or disable RDEPENDs. So no more "cabextract" jumping in to xfree if you forget USE="bindist". I'll take this one Patch looks good. committed |
