Then exclude app-doc/phrack if you can't afford the 99k. Also, for the record. I think overlays should be used *less* This is not about 99k of hard drive memory and a dozen files. This kind of functionality simply does not belong into portage. One of the issues: where do you draw the line to what is permitted and what not? Phrack is okay, so why not add xkcd comics? Only 636 ebuilds! Of course I can exclude everything which I don't like. But I expect the portage tree to contain packages, not magazines. And If the majority thinks magazines are okay, fine, open a new category and I can exclude all of them without losing access to xorg-docs and the like. Please don't reopen this bug again. There are no restrictions on the portage tree. Thanks. |
