I'm not completely sure, but probably a feature - IIRC, those init.d scripts, that are still in the tree require baselayout 2, so they can't go stable yet. Feature; if you want the init script you need openrc/baselayout2 which is not stable. And the feature is deprecated. *** Bug 285378 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hi Diego! Do you mean we shouldn't use pulseaudio as a system-wide server? What's the reason? Read the warnings in 0.9.17 ebuild or on PulseAudio's wiki.
